A big hit in France, “On Tour” opened the Cannes Film Festival in May, when it won a best director prize for French film star Mathieu Amalric (”The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”) who also plays the seedy promoter for a troupe of American voluptuaries. The film, called “Tournee” in France, was nominated for seven César Awards and made celebrities of Ramsey, Craven and their real-life-stripper co-stars: tattooed Mimi Le Meaux, pink-haired Dirty Martini, saucy Julie Atlas Muz and elegant Evie Lovelle.
Kitten, 47, who plays ukulele, accordion and piano in her act – hence the stage name – was born in Walnut Creek and raised in Lafayette. She lives in the Sunset District with her boyfriend, Polkacide musician Ward Abronski.
