Alrighty. Moving right along, host Cat Deeley was back in the game, too, interviewing hopefuls before and after their on-stage moment and, you know, fending off propositions from contestants. Maybe it was that leopard-print one-piece.
“I’m just ready to dance my little tusher off,” said 18-year-old Amber Williams of Utah (why she didn’t wait for the Salt Lake City auditions we’ll see next week is a mystery). And that she did, earning herself a ticket to Vegas.

“I used to be a stripper, so that’s where my booty-popping come from,” said Moss who — we die inside, but have to say it — looked like she might have been five-months pregnant.
Aisha Marks has one hell of an eyeshadow job. She says she’s known as the black Barbie, but man, that is one worn out Barbie. Oh, and she used to be a stripper. Niles doesn’t think they’ve ever had a stripper on the show! Everyone is just SO tickled! Not! She mentions that she forgot her routine so she’s starting from scratch. Maybe if someone got her a pole she’d remember. And then, she proceeds to shake her booty non-stop, then pose, then continue shaking her booty. For what it’s worth, she’s a very good booty popper. Niles doesn’t know what to say. Toni and Toasty love her spirit. They love her! But no, go home. Aisha’s fine with it. She even sticks around to cheer on the next contestant. Aisha is a stripper with a heart of gold, aww.
Changing the genre into recitation, sexologist Carol Queen gave a most arousing reading of “Blowjob Clairvoyance,” about a special talent of someone somehow sensing every time a guy nearby got fellatio. Then it was back to live singing with a whole slew of whorish songs from the musical about prostitution, The Life, beginning with Brie Jones singing “Ragtime Romeo”; Becky Jones with “Use What You Got;” Orr and Anna with “People Magazine;” and Orr winding everything down with “Easy Money.” Dottie Lux of Red Hots Burlesque finished off Act One with plenty of bumps and grinds and peeling down to pasties and a g-string.
Derrick Hanson gave a sexy butch fantasy strip tease to “Fast Love” by George Michael. During the song he changed from punk to fireman to sailor to cowboy to leatherman. Tossing the sailor cap onto my head, he gave me a special lap dance and a kiss. Hotcha! Arturo Galster was NOT in drag this time, but was a hot guy singing the sad “St. James Infirmary” blues, after which the prosti-hospital was named.
After an unsuccessful run for Congress in 1972, Mr. Boas left the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1973. His chances of ever working in city government ended in 1988, when Mr. Boas plead guilty to seven counts of statutory rape in a teen-age prostitution scandal that rocked the Bay Area. Mr. Boas served no jail time in the case and was fined $100,000.

An estimated 100,000 to 300,000 American-born children are sold for sex each year. The escalating numbers have prompted national initiatives by the F.B.I. and other law enforcement agencies, and new or pending legislation in more than a dozen states, most recently Georgia, which enacted a toughened human trafficking law this month.

“Oakland is an open-air sex market for young children,” said Sharmin Bock, assistant in charge of special operations for the district attorney’s office in Alameda County, where Oakland is.
The abusers may be pimps, even brothers, who recruit or kidnap girls from the streets and market them online through sites, where they are featured in pulsating ads for massage parlors, escort services, strip clubs, even acupuncturists.
