San Francisco Strip Clubs: Amid evidence cache in Martin case, questions nag

So many aspects of the Feb. 26 altercation and shooting in Sanford remain muddy. Who threw the first punch? Why did Zimmerman leave his car?
This cache of recordings, photos and statements is far from all the evidence. But it suggests there are answers we may never truly get.
“I can’t comment on, you know, what George saw or what George was thinking,” the suspect’s father, Robert, told investigators in a March 19 interview included in Thursday’s release. “Or what anybody saw or what they were thinking.”
In some states, “discovery” like this isn’t released prior to trial – unless it’s by a defense team hoping to score points in the court of public opinion. That is what happened during the infamous 2006 Duke University lacrosse rape case, in which North Carolina officials ultimately determined that the local prosecutor rushed to judgment in charging three students with raping a stripper.

San Francisco Strip Clubs: Children of the Revolution

It’s midnight in San Francisco and i’m out on the tiles with one of the most successful Australian entrepreneurs you’ve never heard of. Most of the city is shutting down on this cold and dreary Tuesday, but Gower Smith is determined to kick on. And so here we are at the Penthouse strip club and steakhouse, a palace of sleaze where New York strip comes with a side of lap dance.
Smith, the founder of ZoomSystems, has a shiny bald head, porn-star moustache and the cheeky, confident smile of someone living the dream. He cashed out of four successful companies in Australia and moved to the heart of the tech world 10 years ago to launch Zoom, raising $100 million from investors soon after arriving. His fully automated Zoom shops – don’t call them vending machines – dispense the latest high-end gadgets from the likes of Apple and HP in almost every major US airport and in department stores like Macy’s. Now the compa …

San Francisco Strip Clubs: Chuck Prophet Pays Tribute to San Francisco

… We couldn’t really research anything, so we started leaning on the more mythical side of things,” Prophet says of the songwriting process. “You get to have fun with the characters. In the case of Willie Mays, we put him in a song with a bunch of people that he would never be caught dead with.”
Prophet is referring to the song “Willie Mays Is Up at Bat,” which serves as a tidy centerpiece to an album that marks another creative high point in his career.
“I hear the church bells ring, Willie Mays is up at bat / I hear the crowd go wild, all he did was touch his hat / Meanwhile Carol Dota stood up and said I won’t be ignored / She showed ‘em everything she had then she showed ‘em all a little more,” goes the first verse, placing the baseball Hall of Famer in the same company as the famous 1960s Bay Area stripper.

May 25: Men in Black 3. Now with time travel! Also, Will Smith, Comedian > Will Smith, Serious Actor.
June 1: Wes Anderson’s latest, Moonrise Kingdom, does battle with Piranha 3DD. Smart money’s on the one with the sharpest teeth.
June 8: Prometheus. I’m so excited for Ridley Scott’s new sci-fi thriller I cut myself off from watching any of the recent, spoiler-y trailers.
June 15: Tom Cruise sings (in Rock of Ages) and Adam Sandler plays Andy Samberg’s dad (in That’s My Boy). Which one will be funnier?
June 22: Pixar unleashes a kick-ass female protagonist in Brave. +1000 for making her a redhead.
June 29: It’s a Channing Tatum two-fer, with G.I. Joe: Retaliation boasting far less intrigue than the Soderbergh-directed Magic Mike, about Tatum’s not-so-secret past as a male stripper.

5. Flaming Spaghetti-Strainer Hat Men: If there was any carry-over from Monday to Tuesday, it was only the fact that if a judge felt a contestant resembled Stern, that spelled disaster. This gaggle of bare-chested men, who wore flaming spaghetti strainers atop their heads (yes, that’s all they did), had one dude Sharon Osbourne referred to as “Howard without hair.” Obviously, they were doomed.
Howard Stern’s Quotes of the Day
“Do people think you’re weird? Me too. Join the club.” – Stern to an unnamed contestant
“The moment I saw you, I knew I was gonna hate you.” – Stern to a green-faced man with no talent whatsoever
“I tried to take it in. I couldn’t. I don’t go that way.” – Stern responding to Kotton Kandy’s request to “take in” his performance
“The singing wasn’t good. The dancing wasn’t good. But the Supergirl underpants are fantastic.” – Stern to a woman whose talent was akin to a stripper’s

San Francisco Strip Clubs: Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Chippy Nonstop

Nanda talks like a profanity-spewing Valley girl, dresses like a Harajuku doll by way of East LA, and raps like a slower Nicki Minaj or maybe a slightly more animated version of one of her more-famous friends, Kreayshawn. On her stomach, there’s a tattoo that says “boom boom” in pink gothic script, and, on the inside of her right bicep, one that reads “imaflirt.com” (she actually used to own the domain, though she’s now let it lapse). The songs on her mixtape, #GLOBALSCHOOLOFTWERK, sound a lot like “Bitch I Bought It Out” — glittery bangers with titles like “Cum Touch This” and “Shake That Ass,” and lyrics about strippers and swag and bitches and boys. She is constantly tweeting, to the extent that it was only about twenty minutes into our hour-long interview that she began stealing wistful glances at the iPhone that remained white-knuckled in her hand the whole time, and that during the not-infrequent periods when she ends up in “Twitter jail” for sending too many updates in an hour, Nanda takes to Facebook with a rapidly-escalating urgency and an almost-Shakespearean specter of encroaching madness.

San Francisco Strip Clubs: In bed with the cuddle therapist

In regards to getting cold, I’ve changed my relationship to weather. My body really embraces the change of season. I find myself eating more in the winter because my body knows it’s going to have to produce more heat. All in all, I have a pleasant experience feeling the change in weather.

SFBG: How did you begin your journey as a cuddle therapy practitioner?
TS: My first professional cuddle client was in the back room of a strip club when I first moved to San Francisco. As a stripper, I found myself spending a lot of my time cuddling with my clients in that back room. It really dawned on me that people are really seeking love and touch more than a sexual experience. And I realized there was no place to really seek this form of non-sexual intimacy. So this inspired me to start an educational and practical forum. A space for people to have intimate experiences and touch.

San Francisco Strip Clubs: Politically correct Lusty Lady strip joint seeks financial suitor | The Republic

Posted on May 11, 2012 by strip-club-dj.

A case can be made that the Lady is the most pro-feminist strip club in the city — and maybe in history.

Yet the ladies argue they are one of only two privately owned venues left in the city — the rest have gone corporate with strippers that look like Barbie dolls. They don’t serve alcohol (which also allows them to put on a totally nude show). And they made “talk to a live, nude girl” a local catch phrase.

The Lady has been trying to reorganize financially. A buyout offer was recently presented to the board, but not only was it low, employees said the cooperative and the union would almost certainly be done. The dancers, who pride themselves on their diversity, also got the impression they’d be replaced with strippers that all look alike.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Jersey: On to San Francisco
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Jersey is a Gaslamp Ball community project that will chronicle the 2012 Padres season through the lives of their greatest fans and an old jersey.
My first trip to Fenway Park culminated with a trip to a seedy gentleman’s club and a mad dash during the early morning hours to find Thoreau’s Walden Pond. We failed in our quest. It’s bound to happen in the midst of a 12-hour bender when one depends on a tollbooth attendant for vital literary information.
What I came to find on that trip, or perhaps what I already knew, was that literature and baseball share an inextricable link.
The trip to San Francisco as part of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Jersey would be no different.

Rihanna Insists She is Not Dating Oakland Raider Darren McFadden
Despite reports that saw them together in Hawaii a couple weeks ago…
TMZ reports that, despite reports that the two were seen making out in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago, Rihanna is insisting that she is not dating Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden.
Sources say that she did meet McFadden last month in Honolulu while she was promoting Battleship, but everything is strictly platonic between the two.
McFadden – who was with his girlfriend – introduced himself to Rihanna as a fan and she bought the two of them drinks on the beach.
Last week, Rihanna was seen wearing a Raiders jersey at a New York strip club.
