San Francisco Strip Clubs: Rove says GOP must deal with scandal

Former White House adviser Karl Rove, in a Bay Area appearance Tuesday, said the Republican National Committee’s reimbursement for a nearly $2,000 expense at a Hollywood strip club raises questions about the party’s management and whether the GOP has “procedures in place to spend money on elections – and not on jets and bondage clubs.”
Rove, who worked for President George W. Bush, made the comments to reporters after a sold-out address to the Contra Costa County Republican Club at the Veterans Memorial Building in Lafayette, where he was greeted with cheers by 400 fans who came clutching his new best-selling book, “Courage and Consequences.” He also was asked about this week’s scandal involving Orange County GOP operative Erik Brown, president of Dynamic Marketing Inc., who was reimbursed by the Republican National Committee for his tab at Voyeurs, a West Hollywood nightclub that specializes in S&M shows, topless dancing and dancers simulating lesbian sex.
